The Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef. Chicago Cultural Center. October 13 - October 16. Chicago Rooms, Second Floor.

Hyperbolic models of coral reef - The Jane Adams Hull-House Museum in Chicago invites crocheters to help crochet a replica of the endangered Great Barrier Reef using stitches and colors that resemble coral. The crocheted reef will be exhibited at the Chicago Cultural Center in conjunction with the Chicago Humanities Festival. "It raises scientific awareness through craft and collaborative art that resonates with the legacy of Hull-House and its commitment to the arts and social changes," says Lisa Lee, Director of the Hull-House Museum.

"Jewelry with a Hook" published by Lark with be released in Oct. 2007. I have 3 designs in the book.

Look for "Kooky Crochet" at bookstores in July 2007. I have a design in the book.

March 10, 2007- Crochet Buffet, sponsored by the Northern IL Chapter of CGOA, at the library in Rolling Meadows, IL from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM. Come help the chapter celebrate National Crochet Month and feast your eyes on a wonderful array of crochet displays from Irish Crochet to Free Form. Hooray for Crochet H.S. District 211 Continuing Ed; Fremd High School; Wednesdays from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM starting February 21, 2007. For beginners and those crochetrs whose skills are a little "rusty," this class offers the basics of crochet and much more. Materials and book provided.

I am currently teaching a class "Hooray for Crochet" September - November, 2006 at District 211 Continuing Education, Fremd High School.

My hat design (right) was chosen for the advertisement for the new book from Lark, Cool Crocheted Hats, due out in Fall 2006. Look for it in bookstores nationwide.

Be on the lookout in retail book stores for this brand new and unique book of crochet essays (far right), Hooked: A Crocheter's Stash of Wit and Wisdom. Kari Cornell is the Editor and it is published by Voyager Press. I taught Kari to crochet at Stitches Midwest and she mentions me in the Introduction! Most exciting is that many of the essays are written by members of CGOA, including mine, "..but is there an "Ebb" Stitch?.

My scarf design (right), "Pea Patch Free Form Scarf" appears in the new book by Vogue Knitting, Crocheter Scarves Two, from their "On the Go" series.

As a result of their exposure from my article in Interweave Crochet Fall 2006, the Double Stitch twins have been offered a book deal (pictured below on the right).

At the 13th Annual Chain Link Conference in Vally Forge, PA, I was presented a lifetime Membership in the organization by the Board of Directors for my contributions over the past 16 years to CGOA.
